Turn of Email Notifications for All Users

Is there an option to disable this globally without users having to toggle it off?  I have a few users where the setting will not save for them,

I don't really understand your issue could you describe it a bit more further.

Here is what is sounds like:

Do you want to take it of for email activation say if someone joined your forum and you don't want an activation key sent to their inbox?

If so follow these steps = ACP -> general ->  e-mail and contact form -> contact form -> select NO

Or are you talking about newsletter if not please post your issue a but more detailed.

I think this would have to be done manually by each person.

On the forum index, head over to the Navigation Bar => Profile =>  Preferences.

Also go to Navigation Bar => Profile => Notifications.

Ramdaman is correct.

The only way you can turn off email notifications for new posts etc is via the notifications tab in the profile or via the profile preferences. There is no global notification.
