Protect my phhpbb2 forum from spambots?..I'm not PC savvy and I'm just looking for advice for the simplest steps to take ?...

I don't have Captcha, which I've read is extremely simple for spambots to get by...even hard to read Captcha , I don't have email confirmation..which is also easy to get around for spambots..I don't have questions , I only have the confirmation code amd that is also not reliable.

Is there a code I could put in somewhere on my forum which is relatively easy to do and where would it go?..maybe CSS?

    Thanks.Smile

    Hello,

Please change the title of your topic to something that is related to your question/issue, so that other users will be able to find their question/issue using the search engine.

You should activate email confirmation for users at the bare minimum for security purposes. There really isn't any 'coding' as such to add to protect your forum from spambots from registering on your forum, as far as I know.

Thank you , I've changed the title.

I don't have email confirmation facility, only when new registrations come through , I check them off.( new accounts activation)

I only have a the conformation code facility and nothing else.
