A few of my users have told me while posting in the chat box and even to see new posts they had to refresh nearly if not all the time just to see their post/and or a new post. Might this have something to do with the chat box lagging? Or something on their end? As I know I have only had it happen to me a handful of times where I'd have to refresh the page to see new chat box posts.

Any ideas/tips/suggestions would be appreciated.

Can you give us the URL of your forum? It doesn't happen to me.

If so, do you have scripts which modify the chatbox ?

Yes only in the homepage that I am aware of as we don't use the full chat box.

And I do have some scripts... I think maybe 2-3. One to change the name on the chat box, one for the pop-up chat box.

Do you think perhaps the scripts are causing the lag? Or the inability for it to do as it should?

Why don't you try to desable them and see if the problem persists?

Turned off my Javascripts (I have 4 of them) and will see if the problem persists.

*Edit* I took all of my scripts off (copied and pasted them so not to lose them) then slowly re-added them one by one trying to find the problem. I think I found the problem... my pop-up chat box script.

One last thing, could someone direct me to the chat box scripts... I know there was a post with mods for it, like sound notifications and flash notifications. Managed to completely forget to re-add the flash one back.
