What is the address of your forum?

This happens a lot and sometimes it can be a temporary glitch. Throw me your address and I'll take a look!

Well it looks perfectly normal from my end.

Sometimes there can be temporary glitches, but it should last no more than a couple of minutes at the most. I can't think of any other reason.

Keep me updated (here or PM or on your forum) if it happens more often!

Yeah it does sound like a glitch in the system more than any real trouble. It can be annoying, but that's what happens when a server is hosting thousands of forums unfortunately!

Sorry there's no other help I can give you!

Yeah it seems as though it's a recurring problem on many forums... but I'm sure it will be sorted soon, so hang in there and buy a stress ball incase you get too irritated!

Its an error that has been happening quite frequently of late.
One suggestion is move all of your site buttons and pics to another server eg Photobucket (the problem is sometimes with servimg the forums standard pic server).

Images have nothing to do with this error , looking at this indepth it seems as though the servers hosting the database are timing out , if you go to log in screen leave it for a min then log in, you get your forum listings nearly every time. Do we have any official word from the forumotion team ?

Paul.

It's really starting to anger me. It has been this way for days.
Fix it soon. I'm thinking of moving to a new host, and I don't want to.

A couple of days is nothing to the way some hosts mess up, trust me! There is a topic dealing with this in the tech forum, and I'm sure they will already be on it! Just stick it out it's not causing massive problems, it's just an irritating glitch for everyone involved!

Thanks for that. I'm just not used to stuff like this.
I've never seen something like this on Forumotion.

I'm happy they're working on it.

Yeah, Forumotion doesn't usually have problems. Instead they have minor glitches every now and then, but a fantastic team of technicians means the glitches are solved pretty fast.

This is constantly happening to me, members cant get on! We have to keep refreshing and it sometimes takes like 10 times for it to work. Then sometimes it says a particular category doesnt exist! What else can i try besides resyncing the forum or whatever?

Post by brigitte & mike March 26th 2008, 3:26 pm

I have the same problem on my forum for many of our members over the past three days. This error does not only happen on pc's that haven't ever been on my forum. I have received the following complaints:

I'm logged in but can't get into the message boards. I tried logging off and then in again but the same thing happened. Oh no, did I get the boot?

eta, ok as soon as I sent it to you it let me on. wierd.

For some reason, when I log in...the only thing that shows up is the thread for Registered Uses and it won't let me in. I'll try again a little later.

Am I the only one seeing strange formatting, small size font and everything highlighted in blue? It is getting really annoying. This started a couple of hours ago and hasn't changed depsite my refreshes and logging off, etc.

I am able to see other sites just fine, normal sized fonts, etc, so I think that it must not be an operator error.

Just trying to make sure...

It keeps loading funny for me too at times. A screenshot is below. If this happens when I hit the reply button I have to hit Preview to get it to look right, and be able to type.

Sorry this is so big, but any smaller and the effect would be lost.

no forums error Loadingfunny

As you can see in the screen shot, more than one person's post appears as if it is currently being edited and not as it should.
