I want to prevent new members from reading one forum

I did not know where to put this. I would like to prevent new members from reading or using one of the forums until they have posted 3 times. How can I do this?

To do this you will need to first create a group and set it to 'auto subscribe' when a user reaches 3 posts. Then any user who has 3 posts or above will be added to this group automatically.

You must then go into the permissions of the forum and sections you only want users with 3 posts to post in and tick that group in the permissions (Make sure you untick 'members' as well though or it wont matter, then also re tick any other staff or usergroups you want to be able to post in the section) and click save.

You can create a new group i.e Newbies and setup it as auto-subscribe group with 0 posts. With this method all new registered members will subscribe automatically in this group. After that you can setup the permissions for this group. After that you must setup the members group to auto-subscribe with 3 posts and then setup for this group the permissions if required.
