    Solved [Only Topic] UberCMP issues

    Post by Yawn Mon 4 Jul 2016 - 19:36

Last night I noticed this little 'U' thing on my page and it has really slowed down the loading of my page. When I click on anything the bottom of my browser will say 'waiting on ubercpm.com' It actually downloaded an application to my pc called 'msdos application' . Here is a screenshot of it [Only Topic] UberCMP issues Msp10

    EDIT:
    Made only topic by Nemo

Please fill in this and make sure you have all the things filled in

    Thank you.

Solved Having Issues with Unwanted Application that has installed itself on my forum.

    Post by Trinityz419 Mon 4 Jul 2016 - 22:50

    Technical Details

    Forum version : #phpBB2
    Position : Founder
    Concerned browser(s) : Mozilla Firefox
Who the problem concerns : Yourself
When the problem appeared : Yesterday Morning
    Forum link : http://avalonia.forummotions.com

    Description of problem

    Hello There,
I am having loading and posting issues on my forum due to an application that has installed itself without permission. The Application is called UberCPM.com, which has installed a red U on my forum without consent. Each time I try and post anything, or try opening a topic this application is slowing down the forum so much that posts are being wiped out before I can get the information on there.

It says "waiting for ubercpm.com" in the bottom left hand corner, but it takes so much time to load pages, the posts are coming up empty and its causing major annoyance to the point of me logging out due to sheer frustration.

What can be done about this please?

    Yours sincerely,
    Trinity

The ads do not redirect me. The thing is even if I am using a browser ad blocker the ad will be blocked, but the pages will load so slowly while the ad is being blocked. It's worse than the old dial-up connections.

I agree with Yawn. The slow loading is making it impossible to post anything on the forum before it automatically times out.

    Hello Ape Smile

    My URL is: http://avalonia.forummotions.com
The URL responsible for the issues is: https://ubercpm.com/
I do not have ads removed by credits
I do have ad blocker installed on my browser.
I am from South Wales, UK

It seems the issue on my forum has been solved already, but maybe that is because the ads banner has been removed. I am unaware if this has been done by your Tech guys, or by this Uber.com, but whatever was causing the original issue is no longer there. The red U has disappeared along with the Ads Banner.

    Thank you kindly,
    Trinity
