Description of problem

Hi everyone,

I have been receiving many complaints about malicious advertisements from members of the forum I moderate. I have read through some other posts which also highlight this problem however none of them gave me an answer that would help solve this problem.

I understand that the Forumotion team is reluctant to remove all ads, which is fair since it is a form of income, however, I would like to point out that you do have the choice of which advertising service to use.
No other website I visit which contains advertisements ever displays anything malicious or illegal. However, a large portion of the advertisements that are displayed on the forums here are indeed malicious.

Not only is this annoying (e.g. forced vibrations of mobile devices) but is also deterring new members who do not run ad-block from using our forums.

I hope you understand what I am trying to point out here, there are many ways to go about fixing this problem, and I really hope that this can be fixed.

Thank you for your time Smile
~Mat

Hello @Mat Mase

The problem with ad's is getting fixed
We are not the only ones to be getting this problem there is over 2000 + reports about this on Mybb forums and on other free hosted forums i have been on. also i have been talking to other members on other forums and its a world wide problem right now Yes we can move from one provider to the others but the same is going on in there a'ds aswell

we are working hard with our Ad's providers to get this sorted out and we have asked our members to post the codes that are showing up on your ad;s so we can get then fixed / removed.

for more info on this please read on our only topic

https://help.forumotion.com/t145609-only-topic-ads-redirection-mobile-pc This will show you how to report your Ad's the right way and then we can do something about them.
