Description of problem

Got a few messages and basically they all have gone this way "I absolutely can not log-in from my Iphone or Ipad. I "can" log-in from my computer. I changed my password, logged-out from the site from my computer but can not log-in from IPhone or Ipad. seems like this just started in the last few days. "

It seems like once the upgraded mobile version was added, some of my members are unable to log in using a mobile device.

I can log in with no problems on my phone so maybe there is a permissions setting that I need to look into or its a problem at their end.

Any ideas on what the problem could be?

Also, where in the Admin panel can I find something to do with the mobile version? I've found one area under Display, but that seems to just be for Templates.

In reply to ape (and my thread that was merged here), I have asked people to clear caches, but it doesn't seem to help. I have also asked them to attempt to log in with the classic version of the site, but this doesn't help either. Both are using mobile apple products (iPhone, Ipad). Curiously for my admin level member that cannot log in, I manually changed their password, and they could log in, but as soon as they tried to log in again, it went back to the issue. I have actually done this twice for my admin with the same result. I tried this for a regular member (me changing their password and having them log in) but this didn't work at all.

The issue began on the Friday (or possibly before) previous to this update.

Any update? I still have members unable to log on.

One of my administrators noted that she was able to log on with an old Ipad with an older IOS, but not with her new ipad (IOS10).

Hi I am also having problems logging in on my I-pad. I can log in on my I-pad and I-Phone via Google but not via Safari

I just used the basic google - not Chrome

It has been almost 3 weeks and I still have members unable to log on. Severely hurting my forum.

I am really embarrassed by this problem that I can not reproduce either on my iPad or iPhone!

By using the mobile version of our forums on these two devices I manage to connect to our forums in a normal way without any problem.

Can you please explain the steps to reproduce it with screenshots if possible ?

I am using an iPhone and having some issues too.
Using Safari in normal - all good. Changing to private safari - adds start to auto load non stop. No way to even press anything on the screen. Horrible. Let me know if I should create a separate case for this. But it might be related. (yesterday everything was working fine. Issue appears on my forum, on help.forumotions.com no. I'm also having the same problems in my forum and now my members using Safari on iphone still unable logging in. I'm not sure this information can help you find the bug but if you login or get in forum via App link (like twitter, facebook) It can login. however, It's difficult to always use from links like that.

what Iphone are your members using and what Ipad are they using.

Are the items all up to date
Ask you members to make sure all updates are installed and the browsers are all upto date.

Hi. I have same issue and I am my forum founder.
I try log in to my iPhone 6 ja iPad mini.
Both are update latest things.

I was try log in google chrome and safar, both fail.

Browser that I can't log in is Google Chrome, Safari
Browser that I can log in is Opera, Opera Coast, Firefox, Dolphon, Puffin, Apollo Browser Google app, Facebook app etc...

So only google chrome and safari didn't work on iPhone and iPad.
Those browsers we use only, so this is big problem right now, me and my forum members

Just more clarification on my end.

You get the regular log in screen, but it doesn't accept the log in. You get an error saying that the name and password don't match (when they 100% do).

One of my members stated that this was only happening on their iphone 5S, but they tried logging in with an older phone (Iphone 3) and it worked fine. The same was happening for another member, she has a new ipad, couldn't log in, older ipad worked okay. Both of these instances were with safari. I've had some of these members have success in logging in with Chrome, but still not with safari. Definitely a frustrating problem, my log in numbers have dropped significantly.

Hello @Canada Aquarium we are sorry you are still having this problem we are working on this and right now our teah team can not create the problem our end but we will keep trying the more we get from you the members the better as every little bit of new data helps our team look for the problem.

Can i ask if your members try and log in on the Classic view can they log in ok or not ?

Either view reproduces the same type of error.

All of a sudden, I cannot log in on my iPhone. I can get to the forum, but cannot log in. It actually happens with another Forumotion board also. And now I just got an email from a member who is having the same issue. I even uninstalled and reinstalled it on my phone.
Any ideas of what the problem could be, and the solution?

I'm now going to make this pro admin

We have an iPad/Safari user in the USA who can't login.
It sounds just like the problems described in the posts above.

His login does work, because he gave me his password and I can login OK on my laptop and Firefox.

I've advised him to try normal (not private) browsing, the normal (not mobile) view of the website, or a Firefox or Opera browser.
I'll report back when he tells me how he's got on - it may be a while because he's a bit of a technophobe.

We also have iPhone (including iPhone7) users in the UK who don't have a login problem.

My user has found that switching to FIREFOX on his iPad has solved the login problem.

I posted this advice (gleaned from this thread) in our forum in separate thread on LOGIN PROBLEMS.

1. Don't use the private browsing mode - use normal or classic version.

2. Use the normal version of COYR - http://dcfc-craic.forumotion.net/ - not the mobile version.

3. Try a different browser - Firefox and Opera are reportedly not affected.
