Solved New User Activation with admin approval works randomly

Post by azwiz February 2nd 2017, 12:13 am

I recently changed the New User Registration Activation to admin approval . That works most of the time . It seems that about every 4 th user to register just goes right in . When I get the email . I go to check " Yes " for user is active . They are already active . No big deal . I just wonder why ? If I wanted it to be secure . I guess it will be some of the time . Right ? Lol . Is there a glitch ?

    Hi there,

If you have other admins, it could be possible they are activating your members. I would recommend you check it over if you do. If it is only you, then it could be something else.

Not sure what the hell could be doing this sort of thing as the system has fixed settings to them.

Have your done any backups ?

When a back up is done it can take time to settle down.

If not then i am lost to why this would happen it could also be down to the updates to the software we have had but then we would get more posts about it and members thinking what is going on. so right now i think it could just be a temp problem and it will settle down.

Okay . I will wait for a few new users . See if it repeats again . If no one else has reported this . It is not likely to repeat . I will let you know
    Thanx
