New: SSL certificates are now available for EVERY Forumotion Forums

Dear users,

I am glad to announce you the phase 3 on Forumotion for the purchase of SSL certificate set up. Now, every Forumotion forum without exception can purchase a SSL certificate and switch to HTTPS !

No matter if your forum his hosted on your main domains or not, or if you have a custom domain name or not: you will ALL be able to purchase a SSL certificate and have a secure URL in HTTPS.

Process to purchase a SSL certificate is the same. For more information, read our tutorial.

If you have any issue, don't hesitate to ask on the dedicated support section.

I can't purchase an SSL cert.
domain name is giftcards.cyberfreeforum.com

I don't have the option to buy SSL

can anyone help me?

It may take up to 4 workdays.

Hello can i ask all members that are not seeing the settings on your ACP are you in Admin mode of founders ? as only founders can see this setting.

Admins cant see anything on the credits menu right?

THank you, I think that should be mentioned in the SSL certificate info box. As it seems right now, one would think it's a one time fee.

I often spend credits on the ads and stuff, so I'm really annoyed that I can't buy the most important thing.

to recap:

I am in founders mode.
I have enough credits (1000+)
I am in the right place misc-> spend credits -> I have STORAGE-ADS-DOMAIN-COPYRIGHT
there is no SSL BUTTON.

Also I can see the SSL thing on the summary but that's it.

This is probably just like that classified ads update, as it is restricted to 'big' communities (English, Spanish etc). A bit frustrating though...

Hello sorry for the Delay in getting on to this right now i am not sure why your forum is not showing this setting it is open to everyone who has a forum. I see you Tagged all staff members here but tagged The godfather wrong you need to tag him like this

All forums should have this setting it should not be just for some i will find out why this is a problem and get back to you all.

Please make sure i have the URL of your forums so i can let the head office know.
if you have a domain name please post it here and the FM domain name aswell.

it is a yearly thing your have to do it every year when it run's out.

An Italian user haven't the https option. He has an external domain with CNAME.

After activating the day counter marks 363 - It should not report 365?

So do I have to purchase the SSL through FM or through Namecheap?

To the Members Who Can Not See the Option:  Do you have a domain name that you did not purchase through Forumotion?  If yes that could be the reason why you do not see the option yet.

yes not through forumotion, but how long will it take for me to get the option then?

We will have to wait until The GodFather gives more information.

Domains purchased outside of the forum will not have that option:

• Phase 2: Transition to HTTPS will be possible for forums located on the main Forumotion domains and having a custom domain name acquired via Forumotion.
