Flashing news & information category

Hello. I'd like to get a flashing "news and information" category added to my forum like the one on THIS FORUM.

It's the very first category of the forum. As you can see, there are several lines of information in that section that flash one after another. Also, there are no "Topics/Posts/Last Post" titles in the blue bar. I would like to do the same on my forum. How would I go about doing this?

hum, never seen that on a forumotion forum before, you can use scrolling texts but I don't think you can do flashing without a html code.

You'd go to General > scroll to the bottom: Homepage message

Yes, I'd say there'd need to be code for this. I'm using scroll for mine - but this looks really cool too!

When I right click and checked properties, it says it's a PHP file . . . there's where we need to start.

Too bad it only works on Internet Explorer browsers. I run with Firefox and I know many of my forum's members do as well.

There are other scrollers/tickers/newsfeeds on that site though, but they all seem very complicated to install!

How that Forum have MenuBar there ... '.' Can we do that ?
