Change forum email address- registration notifications

I need to change my forum email address. The one that gets notified when a new user registers.
Currently the notifications goto my outlook, but I want to change it to gmail and do away with outlook completely.

I have changed it in the admin panel - general - messages & emails - emails & contact, but when I register a test account the notification still goes to my outlook.

I have a vague recollection of changing it from my founder email to outlook 2 years ago when I created the forum, but the AP has changed since then and I cant seem to find where to do it again.

Is the email address for the founder account on the forum the same as the email you want?

The original founder email is an outlook address, but not the same as the outlook address the notifications go to currently. Not sure if that helps !

Changing the founder account's email will not change it in the database (creation email).

OK I understand that, but neither my founders account email or the creation email is the same as the one that new registration notifications go to, The forum has its own seperate email account and this is the one I want to change, as I say I changed it in the AP but it had no effect.

So are you saying I need to change it in the forums utilities ?

I do understand what you mean?  If you mean the Forumotion email, you can not change it.

OK I think I see where my confusion has occurred, and the penny has dropped as to what I have to do, thank you for your patience with me, I was being rather dim!!

I have an "admin" account that is not used, its just for the email address.
The forum sends a notification to all admin accounts when a new member registers.
I just changed the email address of the admin account to the gmail account I want notifications sent to

Feel like a right fool now, because it was so simple!!
