    Solved Mods still having issues

Post by BravoSix Sun 12 Jul - 14:59

I added my Mods to the group "Moderators" and they should have all the same powers as me basically, but they're still not able to make new topics sticky or make them announcements. They both logged out and logged back in, refreshed, but still nothing.

Is the Admin the only one to be able to do this? I can see those options when I start a new topic just fine.

In your forums have you set them to give moderators the permissions to do these things? You need to tick permissions for moderators to moderate and create stickies and announcements in each forum individually in your Admin Panel.

Yes, said Moderators have been added to each forum they're in charge of moderating. I didn't know there was an option to tick each of their abilities to do things in said forums. I don't see that option in the Admin CP

I just meant in the Admin Panel, General, Categories and forums. In the permission settings advanced mode you tick if a moderator is allowed to make stickies and announcements/global announcements and moderate. But it sounds like maybe you did this already?

Is that considered a "Special Message" option? If so, I did not do that. Of course...

Those options don't show up in my Admin CP. Where are those located?

    Admin Panel

    General

    Categories and forums

Then select one of your forums and look at their permissions. Click the Advanced mode at the bottom to show all permissions for that forum.

You need to set the permissions individually for each forum. Also every time you create a new forum.

OH! I didn't see the 'Advanced Mode' option. That's why what I was looking at, didn't look like your image example.

Thank you so much JaneDoe. You're the best! Yes
