Question about notifications

First topic message reminder :

hi

ok so my forumotion forum is not online yet
but i was wondering about something that i find very important to know before i even start releasing a forum with forumotion

do members get notified when one of their post is quoted?
if not, is there a way to still get that activated throughout codes or something?

i would find it very weird if you do not get notified on quoted messages
as like not everybody will remember to always mention/tag someone etc
on any other forum i know this is always possible

As for the code, somebody may be able to tweak the code the way you want it to. But as for the notifications, no, you can't hide the bar and get the notifications as it's working with that system only. Sadly.

seems like the notifications are not even working on my forum
i enabled the toolbar again
i am testing with fake acc
taggin my admin acc
quoting it

i see no notifications pop up nor see any on notification page

To answer your last tag to me.

Some things are more easy to add to our systems than others and we only have a small team or tech's who work on new things and they also fix the bugs we have.

As we are a Free host this takes us time and money to add things and with a small Tech team in our head office it does take time to get things done.

As for the Theme topic well this may have been looked at and found it was to hard to add to our current way of working systems as we use a modified version on PhpBB forum system.

So what you are asking maybe more easy to add to our system than others on the server side.

It can't hurt to try and suggest it and see if it gets done.

i worked around it all and figured out a way to enable the toolbar and make it fit in with the forum's design
also followed another tip from another thread , adding the navbar into the toolbar, yay! 
i mean , it be quite ridiculous if you can't even see notifications at the top so the toolbar HAS to be enabled
not sure why there is an option to disable it honestly but maybe that's just me xD

as for the code you provided me
it does not work on my end
at first i was like wtf? then i went to my notifications and i strangely noticed my tagging notication option was not checked.... so i thought THAT was the problem, so i checked it and thought would resolve it
then i tried again but still nothing when quoting on fake acc

@KPOP,

There are two things you have to check.
1st: Check if you have the tags activated in the Admin Panel.
2nd: After you enable the mentioning system, and activated the toolbar, try quoting your reply with the second account to test it out.

It should work fine as this code works normally. Otherwise, I could create an account to test it out and see.

i think it works now, magically 
really weird because i was certain tags was enabled before, like wtf xD
i even went into the admin panel and i did not have to change anything lol

i do have a side question that is kind of related to this topic
why is it sometimes , when posting a reply, the ''Notify me when a reply is posted'' is auto checked and sometimes it is not?
is there a way to have that option always checked? does that notify option also applies when posting in quick reply box?
if yes to last two questions, that would also help with my notification thing i want i guess
