How can I change my domain

Hello Mods,

I have a question about my forum’s domain. My default domain is “hh06b.forumvi.com”, I purchased Forumotion package as “Advanced”, and buy 1200 credits more.

In Summary & Management section, it shows “Currently, your forum address is https://dieukhientaubien.net“, but in section Spend credits I can’t find where to change my default domain to my new domain https://dieukhientaubien.net/. In my web browser I still can’t access to the new domain, please help me solve the problem, thanks a lot.

You can set your domainname on your administration panel > Misc > Credits management
> Summary & Management
And click by "Domain Name" on this page on the green modifi button.

Oh, you must buy the domainname with your credits. Go to the Spend credits option under the Misc tab and choose "Domain Name"

I know but in MISC/Spend credits/Domain I can’t find the BUY button, just shows the same picture above

Do you have check the domainname first with the green check button? When you have do this can you confirm the domainname.

I my control panel page doesn’t have CHECK button, I purchased dieukhientaubiet.net before then several years without custom domain, now I want renew my custom domain.


I checked whois, it seems Forumotion still manage dieukhientaubien.net https://www.whois.com/whois/dieukhientaubien.net

Did you recently let the domain name expire completely? If it expired completely more than likely we will have to put in a ticket with head office asking them to check that A. We still have control of the domain name and B. If they can renew it manually (but you would need to make sure you have the 1200 credits available in the admin panel).

Please keep in mind that should we need to make a ticket, it would not be seen until at least Monday at this point since the head office is closed for the weekend.

May you please send me a pm with the following details so that I can submit a ticket:

-E-mail you used to create the forum (foundation email)
-Exactly when did the domain name expire (how many days ago).

With this information I will be able to submit a ticket for you on this issue.

I followed your instructions, now I can’t access default domain name. New domain name still can’t access

Today is Thursday, my forum still can’t access (default domain and new domain). Please help me solve the problem or show me how to unsubscribe the forum package because I can’t access admin panel

I have made a ticket regarding both problems for you, however can you please try seeing if you can access your admin panel via the the direct access link in the founder utilities? The link to the utilities is: https://www.forumotion.com/utils . if you have trouble logging in due to the password not being correct or something, please let me know and I will sync it up with the password you used to access the founder account on the forum.

Hello,

For some reason your domain name was still associated with your forum, although it was not renewed since 2020. I'll ask our techteam to disscociate the domaine and the forum, and get back to you as soon it is made.

Then you will be able to purchase a new domain.
