    Description of problem

    I was trying to embed a video from a website other than Youtube and used the embed function but it has broken the page which now will not fully load. It will not fully load so I can't delete the post and when I open the thread as a mod it wont load past the embed code which is not visible so I can't delete it to break it and get it to continue to load the rest of the page. I tried selecting the post to split it away from the thread but it wont let me. It says the forum does not exist. I tried going into the Admin area and disabling the html and the embed code but that didn't seem to work either. I have locked the thread. It is at 40 pages and I normally split into a new thread at 40 pages anyway but would like to fix this.

    Can you tell me what code you've used? Please put that code here by using code tags.

    Hello

    Please use this link to edit this message: https://www.russiadefence.net/post?p=469498&mode=editpost

    I think you tried to add some HTML code inside the EMBED. Try to copy only the URL of the video, not the integration code:

    I used the embed function with the url only but that didn't work. On the video website the video was from there was an embed code option which I copied and pasted into the embed button on the forum.

    The video link is: https://rutube.ru/video/78f82cd5685b1502a5d3ad449be30c4f/

    While the embed player code from the site is:
    <iframe
    width="720"
    height="405"
    src="https://rutube.ru/play/embed/78f82cd5685b1502a5d3ad449be30c4f"
    frameBorder="0"
    allow="clipboard-write; autoplay"
    webkitAllowFullScreen
    mozallowfullscreen
    allowFullScreen
    ></iframe>

    Which I pasted into the embed function instead of the url.

    Note I didn't write any code and have basic html skills.

    +++++++++++++++++++++++

    Thank you godfather, because the code stopped the page from loading fully I couldn't click on the edit page button at the bottom of the page. As your screenshot shows the text I posted in to the embed function was multiline and it clearly wasn't wanting multiple lines and just did the first part of the script so it broke the page because it was incomplete.

    This problem is solved but could you tell me how to create the edit post link when the post does not fully complete and there is no edit post button to generate it for me.

    The link is https://www.russiadefence.net/post?p=469498&mode=editpost, but the post before is https://www.russiadefence.net/post?p=469495&mode=editpost, so I can't just fix the problem again in the future by editing the post before the damaged post and adding a 1 to the p= number. Is there any way for me to find the p= number for a post that does not open properly so I don't have to bother anyone and can solve it myself?

    Thanks for all the assistance. Very much appreciated. Smile
