see these pic... a guy imran ownz.. a lamer has spammed whole site with his 200 ids .. these pics are of two diff sites.. i dont hav any idea how he does this.. creating ids ? proxy ? DOSS attack , botnet ? or sumthing else ?? .. this attack can b in yr site tmrw also.. so becareful guys.... lamers will always remain lamers.. ... DOES FORUMTION HAS ANY PREVENTION FROM THESE TYPE OF ATTACKS ?? I GUESS EXCEPT.. SHUT DOWN SITE IT DOESNT HAV ANY SQL OR HACKER PREVENTION MEASURES..

yesterday n today few sites hav been attacked.like this and all staff r worried n hav lose patience.. he might b using botnet prog.. and if yr site doesnt hav any better hacker prevention or sql .. spammer can mess yr site in 5 min.. n u will go delete all his 500 ids whole day n night...

that not hacking......lmao someone made 100 accounts and prolly load them up on a lil program with proxy and made them log in same time that NOT HACKING

i wouldn't let that happen on my forum if saw someone make bot ids i would just deleted them easy only way they going hack your forum is giving them your password or making a easy password for them to crack it,

well you run a yahoo booter site i'm sure you heard of a mass iggy program they just running something the same

by this .. they can mess any1 sites also.. u see there r more thn 200 ids.. n its not less .. n 2-3 staff ppl cant alone ban them all .. its lags,, makes site slow... i know this has hapnd in 1 site where i was logged in. yup. they might b using some botnet prog using proxy .. n massiggy is diff.. lol

to stop this goto admin panel --->> user and groups ===>> users settings

find this New accounts activation [ ] user [X] admins then they cant log in all of them accounts

yup.. no staff wuld like to del all 300 ids ... its sick to del. so much .. but at end staff has to delete./ ban / deactivate .. ,, other person do it for revenge., show his kids tricks, or fun... n yes ques remains.. cant forumtion prevent this ?? im not sure but if suppose this happens with any forumtion forum will it b fine to NOT ALLOW NEW USERS option .. so that no user will reg.. so will proxy stuff work here ?

there nothing ouit there on the net to stop this kind of stuff so you will have to put up with the bots or deleted them

like i said the only way you going to stop is by banning proxy but most people use proxy to use the internat soo you cant really do that

there probably using sort of program to do this automaticaly, you see hacking and cracking will only be made using a programed sofware, i think temporarily if this happens the only remedy was to took off that members startistics. then try to report the case at the onlineguardian.net or sort of sites

y dont forumtion hav any sql or hacker prevention measures as many ppl hav told me that phpbb sites can b hacked / attacked easily thn other php or vb.

THE ONLY WAY YOU GOING TO GET HACK IS IF YOU HAVE A EASY PASSWORD FOR CRYING OUT LOUD.

THESE FORUM ARE NOT LIKE THE ONE THAT CAN BE HACKED YOU ARE ABOUT THE PHPBB THAT YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR AND HOST BY YOURSELF....

automaticaly block the IP of that suspected new member...

the hint of those hackers are always had numbers at the end of there names...

the only way you going get your forum hack if you have a easy password or give it out, Simple as you cant get to your database so how is a hacker going get into your database???

Dos attack is not hacking it just overload your site it's abit like a yahoo lagger

k thn y do some sites install php mysql , nuke sentimental hackers protection .. etc etc hackers can do anything its just we hav to be careful n protected ..
