can I make a picture link to forum page? [solved]

can I make a picture link to forum page? please.
I have made large notices for each forum, some of my old ladies were having problems. It would be brilliant if I could make them clickable to take you into that forum, the same way the writing does.
Is this possible? if so can you show me the codes and explain very simply how I can do it. You would be helping hugely if you could.

Yes this is possible. Find the URL of the forum you wish to link to first and copy it.

Then go to your Forum settings via the Admin Panel. Click on Management then find the forum and click on the button next to it. Scroll down to the Description box. Be sure to have HTML enabled here. Copy the following code into the box.

Code:

<url=URL of the Forum here><img>Link of the Image here</img></url>

That should work.

actually in html it isnt <url
its <a href="www.google.se"> like that

and its <img src="www.google.se/pic32.jpg">
like that its not <img> either

You don't need the quote marks or the 'special' codes. I tried my way before and it all worked absolutely fine.

thats not html .. <img> dosent exist in html they must've added it to forum if it works

It does work. Heres an example of my avatar taking the clicker to my forum.

Scamite, support questions are not to be answered via PM!

todbear, copy and paste the following code into your forum description and customize the red marked parts:

<a href="TARGET LINK"><img src="IMAGE LINK" /></a>

To get the target link, click on the appropriate forum title on your forum and select "copy link adress". The image link is the direct link to your image.

In case you see a red HTML icon above the forum description edit box, click once on it first so it turns into a green one before you paste the code above.
