HTML pages and Guests?

Hello, I have tried searching and read the FAQ but could not find my answers.

I have created HTML pages and used the new Widgets feature to show a link to them. What I want to achieve is, so that Guests can see the widget and the link to the HTML page, but when they click the link to the HTML page they can not view the actual content of the said created HTML page. I hope you understand what I mean?

The plan, Guests will see the widget on the forum with an image and link to a created HTML page, and think wow that sounds/looks good, I'll take a look, but when they click, they can't see the actual page, they would have to register to see it.

Is there a solution for this?

Don't really like bumping my own threads nor replying to my own posts but I could really do with an answer to this problem as I feel it is holding back my forum from potentially new members!

The plan is to completely block Guests, if they want to be a part of the growing community, then they must join:

Guest can not vote in polls = done
Guest can view the forums but can not see the topics = done
Guest can see the 'link' to the newly created HTML page BUT when they click the 'link' they will be taken to the register bit = NEED SOLUTION?

I dont think you can make it so guests can see it but have to register to get onto the page

another way to do this is create 2 html menus and place in widget box, change the values so admin mods and members see1 and guests see the other, that is how ive created mine, even thou they apear the same when they click ona link im keeping for members it will display a notice informing them its a members only page
