Multiple Skins? Empty Multiple Skins?

Post by Severin July 22nd 2008, 6:20 am

I know that some web sites allow the users to pick the skin/theme that they view the website as. AKA I have the original skin but by hitting a button you would see a black and white version or a blue and orange. I ask this because I have a rather large image for the background of my forum and it takes some people a long(relatively anyway) time to load the pages.

Is this option possible? am I just being an idiot to think I can do such a thing? does this question need clarification? please do reply! many thanks.

Unfortunately, no, it's not. I asked the same question a few weeks ago because I have that ability on another forum I run on a different hosted forum.

You can't even see what your forum would look like with a different skin/template without having to rebuild your forum.

Sorry for reviving this.

Saurus, go to www.hitskin.com - Find the one you want, click it.. In the "Forum URL" write in your forums URL (for example Sunrisers.forumotion.com) and click preview.

That's how simple it is Wink

I wasn't aware of that, but nothing hitskin has is of any interest to me. Most of the color schemes are kids "warez" style - black/gray/dark colors. The average age of my members is 50, so we can't read that garbage. Thanks anyway:)
