Multiple Skins

Please forgive me if I am not meant to repeat a suggestion from the past and feel free to delete the thread if this is the case, though it is a suggestion which has been hugely discussed and welcomed with many forum moderators, admin and members so I thought I would make it again.


My suggestion idea is to be able to preset numerous skins (colours and icons of the forum) in which members can select as part of the preferances. These skins we could do ourselves rather like we do already, but have the option to have a few to give members a choice on which to use.

I think would give the forums style and also aid with sight problems as well as preferances to make a higher majority of people happier.

I think this is a good idea - I was for it the last time it was suggested. I know that the script these forums run on is adapted from phpbb, and on the original phpbb there is the option of having multiple skins changeable by members in your profile.

It would be beneficial to give members more choice - some people prefer reading dark text on a light background, whilst others like black background and white text. Sometimes when creating a layout for a site, it's hard to find a happy medium that suits everyone.

To have the option of pre-creating (ourselves) several 'skins' for the members to choose from would be a very good idea.

I vote yes. I would love to have at LEAST 3 looks for my forum, so the user can choose what they like best.
