Trouble with portal, help please?

So, I am setting up a new forum for fans of Leeland's music. I am using a portal for the forum, but there's a problem: I can't get anything in the middle of the portal. I haven't a clue on how to, and after researching on here I couldn't find anything. I have everything I need on the sides (widgets), but the middle is what I'm concered about. I want to put something like an HTML page that I can edit, but nothing's working out for me. Help?

Just drag and drop your widgets where you need them to be, you have three columns, a "header" and a "footer" at hand. A detailed tutorial can be found here.

That didn't really help. I keep dragging it there, but it continues going back.

But you are in Portal Management / Structure, aren't you? Be sure you have not accidently clicked the "Forum Widgets Management"...
