Moderate each post?

First topic message reminder :

hey, is there a way of enabling a staff member to check each post before the whole world sees it? i have made a club penguin site and dont want any abusive posts in the forum.

^^ yeah to have a choice also to the moderator to approved or dis approved the post of their members before showing of every one

It might work in a group sense e.g. you create a group and add people to said group.

but i think there have a choice to moderate each post or not in specific forum or sub forum..

This would be perfect for the odd member who won't just behave, put them on moderation and then it is just one or two members to watch for a small period of time.

I guess it could work in many ways either through groups, or forums. If I had to choose one or the other though I'd choose to have it via group permissions, not forum because I'm more likely to moderate certian individuals rather than moderate an entire forum or sub forum.

I don't know. It's a great idea for minors of a forum, but you will lose activity. Members want to keep conversations going and what if your staff members are offline and they much wait for 1 - 3 hours for the other person to see the post. I got to say Yes but unsure. Great idea! Very Happy

There are so many trolls and stalkers out there so we use ie yahoo groups on seroius matters, with pre-moderation, as I cant find in forums here, or perhaps anywhere. Isnt it possible to make? Hello

Yeah, I would like to have this as an option. Yes, I deal with some 'A' types and I have one that I would really like a 'look-see' before it hits the 'world'.

I would be against it being mandatory and would want it to be per user in their permissions.

Thanks for the suggestion and the option to voice my opinion. I hope to see this added soon. I could use it today!!

This could be cool feature,and i like it.
Don't know why people vote No just because they will not use it. If they implement it , there would be option to turn off that feature i am sure,so i think you could vote Yes,and help people that need this feature to get it.

I have mixed feelings on this...

This wouldn't be good on a larger forum... It would require a large number of mods going through 24/7 and checking every... single... post... And I know that I for one can sometimes make rather lengthy and wordy posts. I would imagine that it would be tiring for them to read them all...

On the other hand I think it could really be of use on certain forums...

However I think specific features should be mentioned. Like are the admins able to turn it on and off? Assign it to specific users? Assign it to specific groups? Specific forums? There is kind of a lot you could do with it... But the first post isn't really detailed and doesn't specify so people are only able to make assumptions. Personally I think it should be edited to include some of these unanswered questions.

I think I am going to hold off voting for now... I have to think about this one a little more...

Hi in my opinon this is a very vital feature a few forums that.i have been to have it and it's very effective and I also am really suprised that forumotion don't have it yet

Why not, I wonder, but for large forums the moderators will be quickly overwhelmed.
I propose the very same thing and will vote yes, if you consider an option to be validated, or rejected by the forum admins on the ACP, such as to provide the choice for those of us who need the option to validate it and for those who don't want it to cancel it.

Imagine a forum with a million members , this option will be crazy if the staff members of that board are just a small handful, right?

On the other hand, with my forum of hardly 300 members, this option is welcome, esp if the mods are not always alert and could miss obscene posts from rebellious members.

Please think about it, as I can;t see myself accepting an option I may or may not use and be stuck with it Wink
