HTML page and codes

hey, i try to put codes on my forum through HTML pages and they dont work. i put the excact codes in, but they still wont work. can anyone help?

or does anyone know of any code sites that do work?

Hello.

Be sure that you have enabled HTML in both your profile and the Administration Panel.

To activate HTML in the Admin Panel, click on the General Tab, then on the left click on "Messages and Emails". Set "Allow HTML" to Yes and save.

To activate in your profile, go to your profile and click on the Preferences tab. Scroll down and set "Always allow HTML :" to Yes. Save afterwards for the changes to take effect.

I unfortunately don't. But I am sure if you Googled something similar to "Free HTML Codes" then something useful will crop up.
