My forum question...site loading time...

Loading time question?

I have some motion images on my site and wonder if they slow others pc down? I want to keep it easy and fast loading. If it does slow people down with my animated banners/avatars/smileys I plan on making it so it doesn't. But before I deleted and change them to non animated images, thought I would ask here.

Do images/animated slow computers down? I have a super sale store and don't want anything to slow guests and members down from logging onto or visiting my freebie site.

Oh, i'm so sorry, massive miss understanding on my part, To a certain extent big animated banners will slow your forum down, however a banner with a little but of animation is nothing to worry about.
Avatars, they have no difference to the speed or your forum.

to be answer precisly i would add:

No nothing like this will slow down your viewers PC... maybe though the browsing and the appearing of the page wont be so quick.
But the computer will not slow down at any case**

exceptions... windows 95 could have some problems lol

Thanks for your help! I must have about 20 banners, but use 125 x 125 mostly. So, guess I will not add too much more. Someone told me moving smileys will slow pc's down as far as my forum loading time. I just don't wanna discouraged guests from visiting is all.
