post times and some text words faint....HELP!

So far, I have about 5 members complaining on my board they are now unable to view the forum words beneath catagories and the recent post times and dates. It's faint to their eyes, nearly white/hard to see. My other admin and I see it fine however. I did however try to darker the text words with my admin. panel, no such luck just yet.

Any suggestions?

Darken the background color on which the text is found
Darken the text color

I have a problem just like that. If I darken the text, it ruins my theme. If I darken the background, it ruins my theme. Sometimes you must take the easier way out.

Thanks tricky14, but I have not had this problem before and we've been running nearly a yr. I don't understand it? Can a mod. or Admin. help out please?

I've darkened all the text words, used to be a tad lighter (dark blue).

lily pad i replied to your other topic about this, have you read it? when i went back to your site, i see you darkened the background. Is this now solved as a result?

No, it is not solved, but a little better for people to see, not enough however!

Considering people are seeing a different shade of color suggests to me that the difference is becuase they are using different browsers from one another, your chosen colors vary just enough to appear different in IE and say for example 'Firefox'. I would suggest you ask what browsers they are using to compare the results. If you find there is a consistency in the ones that see the text fine and the ones that are having trouble then you know it is a browser issue, in which case you can experiment with your colors using both browsers. The fact is IE and Firefox will have variations in difference in how colors and the overall page layouts looks. Some more dramatic than others depending on the coding. But a font color like you're experiencing sounds like a browser issue.

what about if you get the users you have to send you a screen shot of what there seeing and then you could post it on here so we could see what is the matter with it i have looked on your site and it looks good to me no probs with the words at all Very Happy

I will see if I can get a screen shot from someone, good idea! And, I doubt its server issues because my member never had this problem before until this last forumotion was updated ... top 20 addition.

If your members are not seeing the text correctly becuase of an update from forumotion then it's all about the server, I don't understand how you could doubt its "server issues" after your problems started after a server update. I think becuase of the update some members see the fonts clearly and others are not 'increases' the possibility that its a browser issue. The way webpages look on different browsers often times change during "updates", sometimes for the good for one type browser and not so good for another. IE unfortunately is the most popular browser only becuase the majority of the population doesn't know any better, I'm happy to announce I use Firefox exclusively, and only use IE when absolutely necessary to check my work.

In the end, you'll find you need to change your font colors so all browsers can view it clearly, its as simple as that.

Sorry, I do not understand what is going on. Like I said before, this problem did not occur until this last week. I had not changed any colors until after the recent updates in here because of the complaints. I will go check at the library.

Wow, thank you UNiSEL! That was very kind of you to get a screen shot for me. I see the one above, some see the one below. How can I figure which colors to use so everyone can see it well? Not sure if the black letters show up enough, for now I guess it will work.
