Groups Empty Groups

I checked the FAQs and couldn't find my answer so I want to know if there is a way to make it so that when someone requests to join a group they are automatically approved and don't have to wait for a moderator to accept them.

You know I hav the same problem with Malie. I have already set my Group to open but still members could not join directly to he group.
