When I go to the home page, and see there is / are new postings in a certain forum and click on that forum, I am not brought directly to the unread postings (starting with the first one) but to the beginning of the forum (fist posting - oldest one).
Please tell me what is wrong.

In the admin panel check how posts are sorted for each forum.
General tab> categories and forums.
Click on the name of the forum you want to check
Find the drop down menu for "sort topics by" and choose "most recent in first"
and "sort posts of topics" set to "most oldest in first"

see if that solves the problem.
