Right above the forum list on mediamania.forumotion.com is a message thing, how do I get that?

I need help with how to get the gray background of where it has the widget of news updates and how to add 2 widgets in it.

that is just the homepage message.
admin panel-> display -> homepage -> Generalities

using HTML you create a homepage message with all that you may need

They aren't actually. The 2nd image is on the portal, If I'm right its a custom widget, just need help with adding a gray background to fit 2 widgets in. The top picture isn't homepage message. Its something else.
