There is a good way to deal with categories. At the bottom of each of your categories to post in it says "you can moderate here". Click moderate and thats a quick option.

yeah, know about that button but theres over 450 threads to delete...

I think you will have to do that manually.
However, if you delete the user, his posts will come under as guest as username instead of his actual username.
