Avatar overlapping body of message

When I post a message, my avatar image is so big that it overlaps onto the body of the text. Is there a way I can keep the avatar contained?

Well,you can get a smaller avatar...

Or I think this is possible:
Admin panel>Display>Avatars>Avatar gallery>Personal Avatars>Personal gallery>Maximum Avatar File Size>Enter Pixels [150 x200] > Save.

Even when I follow the recommended steps and decrease the pixel size to 100 x 100, the avatar is still overlapping the body of the text. The avatar is a gamer tag from X-Box 360 and I got the url from http://www.mygamercard.net/ by using

"Link to an off-site Avatar : Enter the URL of the location containing the Avatar image you wish to link to. "

Why not try uploading it through your computer instead of linking it?

Because then it isn't a living image. If I save the image to my computer, it does not get updated, as opposed to linking it to the site where it is always updated.

I guess, thats the problem with it. Instead of uploading it with the avatar, you can have a personalized profile field. The way this user has added a gamertag here

It might sort the problem.
