Question about importing theme & my current custom nav buttons

I'm cutomizing my theme, so I exported, then imported the theme to a test forum to work on the theme without interrupting my real forum. Now I want to import the customized theme back to my forum. I have a few custom nav buttons that I didn't want to go to the trouble and add them to the test forum. (Ok, I'm lazy) My question is... When I go to import my customized theme back to my forum will it erase the custom nav buttons that are already there?

Should I go ahead and take the trouble of adding the custom buttons to the test forum before I import or is it not nessasary? -- Thanks!

Yes the custom Nav buttons will be gone. You have to add the Url's of the images again.

Also, if you are trying to import a skin. It should be in .bbtheme format.

The theme is in .bbtheme format, I just wasn't sure about my custom buttons. Thanks for the help, this topic can be closed now.
