Solved User Sig problem

Post by JayGood April 13th 2009, 6:05 pm

I have an active user on the website who's signature isn't being displayed on his posts. I've checked his profile, and it is set to "yes" for Always attach signature...but I've noticed it's not being displayed. He mentioned to me a couple of weeks ago, a problem similiar to this, and today, when I added a banner I did for him in his signature...I noticed it wasn't appearing.

User name is : Bouwser

Thanks

do you have your signature permissions set for all users?

admin panel>user/groups>user options> scroll down to allow signatures and see if all members is checked off.
if not check that off hit save and it should work fine now.
or if you have it for the groups then he would have to be in a group for it to work.

hope that helps

if the post is created way before you configure it like the above post, the sig will not show in those posts.. you have to edit the post manually and check the "attach my signature"..

That's what I was thinking, but I did a banner for another member, and placed it in his profile also...and it's now appearing in his, before he's posted or replying.

Well I have that checked in his profile...should it not be?

I may have to wait until he posts later...but I think it should be reflecting, with the other one I did showing.

Everything from each profile matches as for preferrences of signatures.

you can always test it with another account you create.
do you have a test account?meaning another user account you can log into? Then just log out and in with your test user account and try it. if it works for that the same way you have him set up then it will work for him Smile

oh just be sure to put your test guy in the same group and have everthing set the same way as your member haveing the trouble.
