Registration

Hi there,

I'm having troubles with my forum (www.hiphopskotch.forumotion.com) with regards to the registration when people sign in. I have quite a few people try to sign up but errors come up such as the "user name is in use" or "email is in use" when in fact this isn't even true. Can anyone help me fix this glitch as I think I may be missing out on many potential users.

Have you checked that the Email and username is not currently in use yet??

You're a genius, a great help! Well, now my question needs help. But I've encountered this before. I don't understand it whatsoever.

yea i have and it just doesnt work for some people... I've helped a few of my friends sign in and it pops up every now and again...any help is much appreciated

So your 100% sure their not taken?

If that is so, check to see if they are "prohibited" user names / emails via:

User names:
Admin panel >> General (tab) > Censoring/username censoring

Email address:

Admin panel >> Users & Groups (tab) > Ban control > click on "Email ban"

I have the same problem. But with me, I can't register on people's forums unless they're auto activation. Plus, Darren: I made a thread; regarding my issue.
