How to make the right comments Empty How to make the right comments

Post by ShadowSun July 9th 2009, 4:21 pm

hello to all staff of forumotion and also to all members on this forum i want to say something about making or giving comments coz some of the members instead give help to the newbie mostly in graphics why they can't make a right comments on it. same like "why you making an animation.gif?" i think this is not a comments, instead help our members to make improvement of their work not to critisize or making some question on them. on that question my answer is simple "mind your own business" giving rates and comments of the work of our newbies mostly in graphics.

in my own opinion this is only i know the correct and right giving comments

if the said ranks, banner or any kind of graphics that create by newbies is something blur or fonts not good i think its simple to say

"need to clear the fonts, color something blur of your work blah blah blah.

or let make a simple on it

for Comments : blur, fonts not good according to the background need some improvements same like that

for giving rates : i give 1/10, 0/10 etc

this is only i know the correct comments and ratings no making questions or critisizing their work for me its simple to answer "if you dont like their work leave it"

sorry about this post but i need to say this thing to make this forum a good and well educated people about how to give their comments for the beginner or newbies .

Thanks

Lol, fail...

The "problem" is : that area is called Graphic PROPOSALS. Meaning : you propose other graphic work, such as banners, userbars, ranks, icons for other members to use on their own forums. Its not a "oh look i made a button" area... Art work there should be GOOD, and USEFUL and not just some random piece of crap someone put together in 5 minutes... Using Paint.

Shadow, no need to seem so defensive, Tarogasini is right. If you can
not handle the constructive criticisms of members in response to your
choice of graphics shared here, the problems lies not within members
comments, as I have not seen 1 comment to your work found
disrespectful in anyway, but still, take such criticiism or comments
at face value and accepted it, as most members share their opinions, questions and
insights here to better help others with their future graphics and
creations as well. We have a very dedicated Graphics design team here
as well as some very talented members willing to share ideas , suggestions and insights about such Graphics.

My suggestion to you is to be a little more open minded and not worry
so much about what others think or post but of what you can learn here
from the Graphics Design team and other members as well to help better
assist you with your graphic creations. Very Happy

When we stuff like that we mostly mean that you shouldn't of made
it like that .

Noooooo LOL! Taro meant that you're talking about the Graphics Proposal area, and you're talking about that section like members don't give a crap if someone else hurts anothers feelings.

Btw, what was the purpose of this thread? The graphic proposals area is fine, and everyone gives critisism. Most of the time they give 9/10 10/10 and they tell you how you can improve it, ect.

Since I am responsible for the graphics matters on the forum I'll say this.

Taro is 100% correct. A proposals main function is to find a home on another forum. This means the proposlas has to look good, or at least match the forum that its going to.

I usually leave a brief comment about the work, I never rate.
But if something is like a stick being poked into your eye, I just lock it no explainations needed.
All you need to do is look at the gallery entries to see the level of acceptance, if you cannot match the level at even 50% then you need to work a load more on your graphics.
Niether I, nor my team has time to sift through the crappy paint creations.

if you want to show off your art there is a thread here in the GD, thats where the "look I made a button" threads go.
The rest of the art is going to be evaluated and sent to a gallery from which members choose from.

I do believe the comments should be far more realistic, and a more constructive, but you need to know a bit about graphics before your critique. Thats why you see so many threads, with "nice, cool... 10/10 , 1000/2 " and I end up locking them cos they are crap in reality.

If someone shows that they are trying hard, striving to get better at graphics, then I take the time to personally help them improve...
don't believe me?
Ask merlinz, beno, rika, veljko, and a tonne more.

I guess I'll need to stop by the proposlas today and get a full assessment.

i suppose you are referring to Rok's post
I don't see why you made these .gif animations.

What he might of meant by that is if you hadn't made it animation your buttons would of been more prominent .

look dude read carefully rok's said any people can use .gif so he must not use that kind of questions it's better to say " you must remove the embeded thing so the fonts will make it clear and change a good font on them" that is very simple to understand every letter's and words that people writing and saying
