what kind of license do you mean there are a lot of different ones.

But if you are doing something on a forum that you have to be licensed for. then a free host is probably not what you want..
(depending what your doing of course)

but like mrmario has said there is no license for forums. depending if you where conducting a certain kind of business or service then there can be license involved for certain countries and or any legal matters.

I mean the license, so that at the bottom of my forum the "Free Forum" "Free Forum Support" and all that...don't want it there, I want to put my copyrights there and my own stuff...is that possible? I think I have seen that on some other forums

Forum license Hello

You don't own your forum, and thus you cannot be privy to the "license" of your forum.
Also, the removal of the footer links is against the ForuMotion Terms of Service and you can have your forum removed because of it.

So basically in a nutshell: No, you cannot get a license to ur forum, as you don't own it, forumotion does.

oh yeah you would have to have a paid forum to do that.
like if you have your images and stuff copyrighted then you can add to the footer but the free forum, support, and phpbb has to stay. you can remove report abuse, contact or statistics out.

but the phpbb, free forums and forums support has to stay.

remember the report abuse goes to you. so your better off leaving that there in case you ever get a complaint you can deal with it your self, instead of forumotion or onlineguardian coming in and haveing to deal with it. so the report abuse is a good thing and would go to you Smile

you cant pay to have the footer removed on a forumotion forum.
you would have to have a paid forum with with your own server or server host/service

like a regular phpbb board. the link is right in this footer click that and check it out. thats what you would want.

you dont have to pay for anything you dont want to.i was suggesting that if you wanted to remove them footers then you would have to go with a paid host. And if you remove your footer from forumotion. thats not allowed and you can lose your forum.

i have explained above what links you can take out and what links have to stay.
i have also explained that you can add your own to it if you wanted to as well.

So i dont know what the answer is your looking for but i dont have it . if you remove phpbb, forums support or free forums from your footer you can and will get shut down. it is forumotions policy that those have to stay.

Since the answer was provided more then once i will now lock the thread
