Another option for thanks button

Hiya Guy's I want to know if some how I/we could do what is done on the Image below ? it allows all members to use the Thanks button and to thank who they wish? at present it is only the original poster who can use the thanks button, but as we all know once a post has been made then other members come along and reply and sometimes the reply they make is very good and maybe better than the original poster has made, as you can see below not only does it allow for all to say thanks to who they want but it also shows who has said thanks

I have tried to do the same on my forum, and I think it would be very beneficial to all my members I also think that other forums would find this very useful as "netsniper" says at the moment only the original poster can say thanks but all members should be able to thank the person who has left a good reply too.

Actually it looks like this would require a bunch of coding. The forum would have to record the user who thanked the post, add a new div at the bottom of the post, and then still restrict the user from thanking again. All it does currently is just give the user karma and restrict the user from thanking again.

Im not a techie so I dont know exactly how much code, but I would expect it to be a bunch.
