Re: Navigation Bar Tabs
I agree with Sanket...maybe make them less clashed and add some gloss effects to it?

Any suggestions for different colors?
I'll try to add some gloss effects to them, I made them on MS Paint so it might take awhile.
Re: Navigation Bar Tabs
Lighter colored buttons always look nice, with a dark font.
So white for background & black for font.

Re: Navigation Bar Tabs
Ok so for the tab White, Something like black or dark grey for the font, so what about the base, what color do you think?
Re: Navigation Bar Tabs
I would say the tab should be Black, white text and the base should be a grey. More harmonious colours

Re: Navigation Bar Tabs
Yeah! Perfect!
The only other improvement I would say is to jazz up the base a bit: make it glossy like the top; anything other than a plain style!

I don't like the colors, they don't look cool and this rectangle don't looks nice

Oh rly ? Gee, i hadn't noticed.BrickMaster wrote: I made them on MS Paint
Edit : for the opinion, the original ranks are no no no, black and gray is much more acceptable, but generally i agree with DarkPoint.

Thanks! I'll try and fix it up some, where do you think the shine should go on the base? It's top, bottom, or one of the sides?

I'm pretty sure you just made a mistake, but their actually Navigation buttons, not ranks. Next off, the color scheme looks great on forum's with red backgrounds, not quite sure how it would look on others. Personally I do like the black and grey ones a million times better, I just haven't gotten around to finishing them.
Thanks for the comments.

Does it thrill you to be a douche bag, in the most indecent way? And looking at your warning bar, it must not be the first time. Attitudes such as yours, such as DarkPoint´s, make many Artists feel down, and stop attempting to create anything. And considering what he has managed to make, you should be patting him in the back for being indeed able to create it in MS Paint.
If you are going to post something, let is be constructive criticism, at the very least.
Brick Master, that last one you made looks very, very good. And it has a lot of unexplored potential. Imagine an animation, the big black block with the text emerging from the rectangle. A wild idea perhaps, but would indeed look nice.
I would suggest downloading GIMP, a free software, that will allow you to expand your potential a lot more than MS Paint.
Anyways, good job, keep it up.

Thanks, I've been looking into downloading it, and I think I will.

Re: Navigation Bar Tabs
No Juani, it simply amuses me to carry on with my writing style. No, you are wrong, i have got warnings for direct insults and starting epic flame wars ( which also amuses me ) rather than posting honest but cruel opinions.
I, as an individual, CAN NOT help if something is shit or not. I just post most honest, truthful opinion that comes to my mind. If they do good, i applaud them, if they do bad, i criticize them. If author is able to accept criticism, HE WILL make it better next time. I will notice his progress and effort and congratulate him. If it will make him quit, well, it was not meant to be then.
You are dead wrong expecting that i ll pat people on their backs just for showing "effort" by creating something that is not good. Thats how the life goes, the only way to do it right, is to do it wrong and learn from your mistakes.
Actually on the other hand, i despise comments like yours, because they are never truthful, never. Even if person does bad you r still patting him on the back. So why, would such person think of improving, if he is applauded for his work ALREADY ? And you are just keeping him in blind conviction that he is creating something really good.
And thats why no graphic designer posted any comment here ( but could now, just to oppose me as i am an outlaw here ).
As for you, BrickMaster... Accept it. Get a better program. Go check out the ENTIRE graphic proposals area and all ranks and compare it to yours. Observe the techniques and styles used on those images. Apply the changes, new ideas and innovation to your next creation.

Re: Navigation Bar Tabs
Juani and Tarogasini, I'm going to intervene before a flame war starts.
Juani, there is nothing wrong with the way Tarogasini criticizes member's work. It may be harsh, but it's true. I myself even value his opinion, sure his critique hurt, but it forced me to get better and get where I am today.
Tarogasini, while there may be nothing wrong with your criticism, you are extremely rude and inconsiderate to other members. If I see you trying to start a flame war again, it'll be a ban.
