Forums Width/height
Well, i went into General - Confirguration then i scrolled down a bit to make it 50% width, it stays 98% of width, i mean, it changes to 50% but the width is the same. See my forum and ill show you, www.codport.com

Banner is good, I mean it's not it who makes the size bad.
Your skin must be modified by CSS. So, let's change the width. Open admin panel, display, colors, then select CSS, now find the warp or it maybe called body class, If that's not her name, you can find it in upper CSS part, just search for .width, it's suposse to be the first one. If it's number of percents, then just change it, you can also put fixed width as number of pixels.
