Cant remove banner background

Hi, well before Xmas i added a picture to the background of where my banner sits, i did this in the pic management section, now that Xmas is over i wanted to remove it and have cleared the box but it will not shift, ive tried time and time again, even adding new pics but it wont shift, i also tried restoring the theme/skin which it does but the background stays im at a loss of what to do.

Its the snow flakes behind my banner



See how the box is showing up as no background added ???

Remove the image code

Right found them again, its showing the code as empty like in the box
