Question on Credits Empty Question on Credits

Post by Richsballpythons February 20th 2010, 6:52 am

Just wanted to know why after buying domain Name and storage space everything has jumped by 2-6 times their cost now.

1600 to get a domain name, now its 6600 credits. Kinda harsh there dont ya think. Considering $1=72 credits and what cost 25 for a years domain is now 91$.

Not to mention how 50mb of space was 50 credits and not its 446credits.

Well, i am a volunteer staff here on this forum. SO i am not biased here at all.

My personal opinion is, its a perfect way of doing business.
If someone is using the forum as good as a professional website, which costs a lot to even host your content on other website. If for features like domain name, space for gallery needs to be increased which are just extra features. I feel its fair enough.

I have checked prices for hosting forum minimum of 5 $ a month. That makes it 60 per year.

I was just getting my price as 500 credits it 6.95 which comes out to 72 credits per 1$.

Unless the credits become cheaper the more you buy then my calculations are off

Heres $60 and its far form 6600 credits to additional 12 months.

IM trying to figure out how the forum calculates their credits per $1. so if i want to pay 50 ill know how many credits per $1.

You want to buy 6600 credits for 76.17 US dollars.

Just trying to figure out how the original 20.57 i paid for 1 year jumps 3 times the amount. Hosting and space isnt that expensive nor is being a reseller of domain names.
So im not sure where you got the $5 per month cost from as thats inaccurate.

I think in fact that deal is very nice.

For 60 USD, you get 5146 credits. Actually considering 1$ = 72.

So 60 * 72 = 4320 credits, so you are getting 826 credits more.
