Navbar
I'm going for a very simple, clean look that will be easy for users to see but will blend into the background. This is what I came up with. The text needs a little work but it isn't too bad in this version. What do you all think?
Size: ~4KB each
Dimensions: 100x65 px (varies slightly per piece)
Font: Star Jedi (free font) size 17px
Notes: Transparent background, reduced opacity on "glass"
The parts:

Re: Navbar
Okay let's go for round two. I seriously reduced the size, improved the glass effect, and chose a thinner but still interesting font (since most navbar complaints are about the boring font). The squared-off sides don't really work on this smaller bar so I went with the standard rounded edges. Are these a bit better?
I left the original post for comparison.
