Hi I found whats below on a locked topic, if I were to do this does it mean that my bots wouldn't be able to access the forum either ie Google

There is a way to help prevent spam. You could make a group that's for members to view the forum. Members that just join can't with the permissions you set.

I think only the people, and not the bots would be affected

Bots only will see what guest see. So if you locked the forum the bots will see locked forum.

Ok thank you I am just trying to find a way of stopping proxy members, so far this week alone I have had to ban 34 proxy,spam Ip's
