I have a few forum sections where I would like to sort the threads by letter - is that possible? How?

not by letter but it is possible to sort it in alphibetical order

By letter is the same thing as in alphabetical order!

general=>forums=>categories and forums
click on the forum you want to edit and where it says "Sort topics by :" select the one that says A-Z
