hiding thread from recent topic in portal

hi mates,

I have a hide thread for moderaotrs only which is invisible to anoynymous n members as well.

but the problem is when we create or reply a new post in dat category it shows in recent topic in portal. but i dont want the thread will be shown even in portal recent topic updates.

so how it to be done?

I asked the same question yesterday, i didnt get a definate reply so i just removed it from the portal.
