Thanks button

is there any option that the thanks button will work with the points system?

I've activated the points system but then I realized that there is now thanks button in there and that these points go to the reputation...

is there any way to add these 2 numbers togather or just use the thanks button in the points system?

you see? I know everything and I looked into the reputation system and everything.
my question is whether I can take the "thanks" button and put the points it give into the point system so I won't have to numbers for one profile.
