When someone post a topic, and the name of the user and what the title was of the topic appears to the right of the thread he/she put it in.

But I'm not getting it. I don't know if he's asking about the latest post chronologically or the latest post alphabetically or if it's even the latest post

Did you change any settings in the forum configuration menu? That's where most of the ordering settings i are.

Display>Structure & hierarchy
Show the last topic titles on index :Yes
Save.
