Hide forums from admin question

Hiya

I am wanting to make another member of my site admin alongside me, though there is one forum there which i dont want them to see

is there anyway to hide a forum from admin and only allow me to see it?

i know i can hide forums from others but i cant work out if i can for another admin member

You can give him/her a special status inside your forum though, by configurind the user's permissions to access everything else but that forum or by creating a special group for this user. If you do so you should also review the forum's/category's permissions!

You can't hide a forum from another admin.

But it's allways possible to have a user/group with some of the Admin privelidges.

...this by configuring all the forums/categories to private and afterwords configuring all the (normal)user groups as you wish.

Then if you create the (special) group to put the other user in you can configure it to edit and delete posts and other options, normally allowed only to special forum users.

... of course this last user wont be able to access the Admin pannel and couln't ever be an administrator, else he/she would be able to see all the forums

... this is just an idea so elfie could hide the forum from this user and still this user could have some special permissions inside of the forums (never being an admin though)

PS: The forum to hide wouldn't be accessible in this "special" group's permissions.
