Hi! I'm using phpbb3, and following the steps to this tutorial. I have some bare-bones CSS files uploaded to Webs, the Javascript in an HTML page, and the code in the Site Description field, but the drop-down is not showing on my forum. If I preview the HTML page, I see the Javascript and the drop-down box.

I appreciate any help you can give me. I've seen another tutorial that uses templates, but I can't do that one with phpbb3. I don't want to get too deep into the CSS until the basic code is working, so for now I'm just testing with background and font color changes.

There are syntax errors in the cookie functions. It looks like you obtained a corrupted copy of the script. Get a fresh copy from wherever you downloaded it (respecting any copyrights, of course!), and try again.

That's the code I copied and pasted from the tutorial. I don't know enough Javascript to fix it.

I just took a look at the tutorial. As posted, that tutorial won't work for anyone. Unbelievable...

My bad Sorry about this, I'm trying to update it and confirm it's working, but as of late, I havent had the chance.
I can guarantee there will be an update before February end, unless someone else beats me to it, of cause!

It used to work 7 months back, the techs updated the coding and stuffed that coding up

Dion, would the DD code work on a HTML page, I haven't seen their code for a while, so I don't remember it off hand.
Otherwise I can just use the temp. themes way and call it "Official" lol

The code in the tutorial will not work, period. Just a guess, but it appears as though someone put the script through a translator program, and some characters were changed that shouldn't have been changed.

If you have your original scripts, perhaps the best thing to do would be to post them in this topic.
