Admin Login issues

I am suddenly unable to login as admin. I suspect our forum has been hacked and some settings changed. The "admin password cannot be changed" is apparently checked.

I have a private forum that i use for my Union, only members of the union can log on, all of a sudden, i can't log on it says unknown user or inactive user? I can't log in or nothing to update the site what can i do? Please any assistance is greatly appreciated.

** I figured out the problem**

I just got the same problem,I'm trying to access to my admin panel but it keeps saying : "The security 'Disallow admin to send new password' is active in Admin Panel > General Admin > Security" Is it hacked or what? I'm sure I haven't changed the password or the log in name! Please,if someone knows what's the problem and can help,I'll be very thankful ! : ( It's really important !
